About Our Tours

As a farmer myself for over 35 years, I understand the types of things that farmers want to see on an agricultural tour.  Since my first trip to Brazil in 1991, I have been impressed by the warm Latin hospitality and advanced technology of Agriculture. I have written various articles for the farm press in Canada and USA and, since 2000, I have taken groups of 10 to 45 people on agricultural tours to Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Galapagos, and Colombia as well as Ireland, Kenya, Israel and North America .Based on contacts that I have made, we visit real, commercial farms, organizations and ag-businesses as well as the “must see” tourist sites.  Check with your tax advisor as much of the cost may be tax deductible.  And I can advise you on Add-On Tours that you might wish to take. My wife Marge usually accompanies me on these tours. Like most spouses, she has had an integral role on our farm and has also benefitted from seeing agricultural enterprises in other countries.

In 2018, we are planning a January Brazil agricultural tour that starts in Amazonia, visits the mega-farms in Mato Grosso, the Show Rural (best farm show in Brazil), and ends at the spectacular Iguacu Falls

In February 2018, we tour Chile:  starting in stunning Santiago, we tour wineries, fruit and cash crop farms, tourist attractions and the Elqui Valley of my favorite places in South America.
